I’m so happy for the upcoming release of the sequel to Anchored Hearts. Deadly Affections on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Please go ahead and preoder your copy now at Amazon.com. Keep reading below to meet Dr. Dexter Parker and Leedra Henderson.
Psychologist Leedra Henderson has a hidden motive in abandoning everything to accept a new job at the Anchored Empowerment Center. She secretly hopes that the new position will help her to investigate her own past – and to finally uncover the real story behind a string of mysterious deaths at her childhood foster home.
Now a strong, independent woman, Leedra doesn’t need help: she wants to seek justice, and she will. Alone.
Dexter Parker needs his own answers about that time in the foster home so long ago. A grown man reeling from the fallout of a broken marriage, Dexter’s rational mind tells him never to try the risks of love again – but he knows he could fill in the blanks for Leedra, if only it doesn’t end up costing him his heart.
More urgently, Dexter needs to save the determined Leedra from the results of her detective work, before it all blows up in her face and costs both of them their lives.
Can the pair set aside their painful histories, avenge the lives that have been lost and – who knows – discover new love?
In my new book and my first Nonfiction release, I have come to believe that every day presents opportunity for grand things to occur. We, however, are often bogged down and reduced to only the initial choices we make and the final outcome.
What happens in between is great learning, but, it breezes by in a blur of fear, regret and small, downplayed triumphs. In life we have the idea, the decision, and the end result. My reflective journey notes encourage you to reflect deeper, ask why you act or respond in the manner you do and explicate these ideas further, considering the lessons learned in the middle of the moments. I call it shedding a little more light on the journey because it can get awfully dark on the way.
Please look for Pack Light on Amazon.com as an ebook and in print.
Please also note that Pack Light is much shorter than it appears in the graphic above. It is just under 167 pages in length for a book size 5 x 8. Moreover, the print version and some ebook versions contain lines and space for journaling after the thought-provoking questions I pose in each chapter.

At her sisters’ urging, baby girl, Ellie, relocates her virtual job as a professional organizer to help out as well. When rude client Houston Montgomery comes in with his bratty daughter, Ellie is determined to ignore her attraction and stay as far away as possible from the handsome man to avoid reminders of the loss of her own daughter.
